Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Sales Sidekick (the "Service"), a Chrome extension and backend service that helps sales development representatives generate sales intelligence and outreach drafts from public LinkedIn profile pages. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Sales Sidekick reads public information from LinkedIn profile pages you choose to view and uses AI to produce short call-prep bullets and draft outreach emails. How we handle data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.

2. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old and authorized to use the Service for your work.

3. Billing & payments (usage-based)

The Service is usage-based, not a subscription:

  • Free trial. Your first 15 unique prospects are free. No card is required during the trial.
  • Price. After the trial, you are charged US$0.20 per unique prospect you prepare. A single charge covers both the call-prep notes (analyze) and the email draft (compose) for that prospect. Re-opening a prospect you already paid for in the same calendar month is free; the same prospect in a new month is a new charge.
  • Card on file. Before any billable (post-trial) use, you must add a payment method. Cards are collected and stored by Stripe, our payment processor; we never receive or store your full card details. By adding a card you authorize Sales Sidekick to charge it automatically each month for that month's usage, until you remove the card.
  • Billing cycle. Usage is billed monthly in arrears, at the end of each calendar month we total your unique prospects beyond the free trial and charge your card once for that month.
  • Failed payments. If a charge fails, Stripe will retry it and we will pause your ability to prepare new billable prospects until payment succeeds. Prospects you have already prepared remain viewable. Repeated non-payment may result in account suspension.
  • No refunds. Because charges reflect usage already delivered and are billed in arrears, all charges are final and non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable law. You may stop future charges at any time by removing your card; you remain responsible for usage already incurred in the current period.
  • Price changes. We may change the per-prospect price on a going-forward basis. We will post changes on this page and, for material changes, notify account holders by email before they take effect. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
  • Taxes. Prices are exclusive of any taxes, which are your responsibility where applicable.

You can add or remove your card, and view your current-month prospect count and amount due, from your account dashboard at any time.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to violate any law or any third party's rights, including privacy and data-protection laws applicable to the people whose profiles you view.
  • Attempt to circumvent usage metering, the free-trial limit, billing, rate limits, or any access control; or automate the Service to generate volume beyond ordinary individual sales use.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, resell, or build a competing product from the Service.
  • Enter sensitive personal information (health, financial, protected characteristics) about a prospect into the "Add context" box, as described in the Privacy Policy.
  • Use the AI output as the sole basis for any decision producing legal or similarly significant effects about a person.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the Service, attempt to evade billing, or create risk to the Service or other users.

5. AI-generated content

The Service uses third-party AI models (Anthropic's Claude) to generate bullets and drafts. AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete; you are responsible for reviewing it before use. We make no warranty that the output is accurate, complete, or fit for any particular outreach.

6. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that LinkedIn page layouts (which we do not control) will remain readable.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sales Sidekick will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or revenues. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim, or (b) US$50.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (billing for incurred usage, disclaimers, limitation of liability) survive.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify account holders by email before they take effect. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
